We spent a very happy day on Monday researching, choosing, picking, designing, costing and eating in our very own restaurant. There was some very creative representations of food when we made our feast in the afternoon.
Here are our finished place settings:
We made our own version of the Parthenon last week, using only wooden sticks and elastic bands! It took a little knowledge of shapes as well. Can you name some of the 2D and 3D shapes we needed to construct to make our temple below in the comments?
We took a trip to the British Museum to see artefacts and sources from the Ancient Greek era. Here are some of the photographs we collected.
Can you answer some of my questions in the comments below? Remember to pause the slideshow so you can work on one question at a time. A good answer to these question will use the word because.
Using some new modelling skills and all of our knowledge of Neolithic life we created a Stone Age scene this term. Take a look at our gallery. We would love to hear you comments on our work.
Listen to Alfie’s fantastic commentary on our tableau and everything we created…
Our chief electrician and robotics expert, Jackson, has been designing some robots to help us look after the time machine and show off his skills.
His prototype robot is called Brush-robot and he is designed to keep everything clean to make sure everyone feels at home in the Neolithic age. Here is his video to show his robot.
What other robot do you think Jackson should design for our time machine? A good answer will say what job they would do and why we need them to do it.
Our mythical beast parts are finally ready to show!
Here is our presentation explaining our creature parts!
Which one is your favourite?
